Up until mid 2015 the Executive Office Academy, EOA, developed and tested its products and services and re-shaped the initial marketing approach. We approached our ambassadors and supporters and launched ourselves officially on 1st September 2015. As with any business start-up we know that the early days are not the easiest. Be that as it may, we secured our first client, the boss and executive assistant of a subsidiary of a major international company. Our first Consulting & Mentoring session over two afternoons was highly successful. Our success is determined not only by the client’s feedback but also further business commitment in 2016.
Towards the High Performing Executive Office - On the 26th November, EOA gave a Lecture & Seminar to members of the Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Business. The seminar agenda included: “Who is that outside my door? Hey, but I have my Smartphone!; Things I carry (Richard Branson); The Loneliest Occupation; From Tasks to Accountability Domains; Who is Really the Boss?; For the Assistant it’s about being empowered and For the Boss it’s about having time: time to lead and time to have fun and other Executive Office Challenges.” One of the main interactions included solutions for Executives and Entrepreneurs living in a business world of ever increasing electronic communications (mails) and time spent in meetings – trying to effectively decision make in an environment of ever increasing noise. The feedback included “did that so well – and certainly gave food for thought.” Included in this post is a photograph of some of the participants, including the Chamber President and CEO, taken after the event.
2016 has started and we look forward having some more business impact together.
